About Mr Kelada
Mr. Ehab Kelada is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist with over 25 years experience in Infertility and Assisted Reproduction. He currently serves at the University Hospitals Sussex (UHS) NHS Trust, where he leads the NHS Fertility Service. He provides private fertility investigations and treatment across Sussex, Crawley and Portsmouth, including IVF (invitro fertilisation) treatment. He is part of the team at the Agora IVF Clinic in Brighton.
Having completed his specialist postgraduate training in the UK, Mr. Kelada is recognised as a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (FRCOG). Throughout his career, he has shown a keen interest in Reproductive Medicine, gaining extensive experience in this field. He has previously held positions as a Consultant at CARE Fertility Clinic in Nottingham and as a Clinical Director at the London Fertility Centre (LFC) for 5 years.
Mr. Kelada's expertise covers a wide range of areas, including the management of infertility, menstrual problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome, recurrent miscarriage, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, endometriosis and menopause.
He has special interest in the management of women who have Polycystic Ovaries (PCO), recurrent miscarriage and recurrent implantation failure following IVF treatment.
Notably, during his time at LFC, he worked closely in collaboration with Professor Ian Craft, a renowned pioneer in IVF, to develop cutting-edge advances for infertile patients. One such ground breaking achievement was the use of the antagonist (short) protocol for ovarian stimulation in IVF, which has now become a widely adopted approach. He also played a significant role in managing the world first reported case of CGH (Comparative Genomic Hybridisation) leading to a successful live birth. CGH is a technique used to screen collected eggs for chromosomal abnormalities, with the aim of transferring chromosomally normal embryos.
Mr. Kelada lead the Ambulatory Gynaecology service at UHS for many years, where diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy procedures are performed. In addition to his fertility consultations and treatments, he carries out gynaecological surgical procedures, such as hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, in local private clinics in Brighton.
His contributions to the field are well-recognised, with publications in national and international journals reflecting his commitment to advancing knowledge and care in Gynaecology and Assisted Reproduction.
